Merchant Monitoring: New Release of Custom Tags
We are excited to announce the availability of Merchant Monitoring Tags and LS Tags to improve risk prediction and specific workflows for customers using the Merchant Monitoring API.
Merchant Monitoring custom Tags and LS Tags allow you to create additional data fields to improve risk prediction and specific workflows.
With Tags, you can create an attribute that can be applied to merchants you choose, and use these attributes to group merchants through the Merchant Monitoring API or assign merchants to specific workflows. You can maintain a list of tags and apply or remove them from specific merchants to inform insight, prioritization, and action.
In addition to your own Tags, LegitScript is also introducing LS Tags. These allow the LegitScript Merchant Monitoring team to tag merchants with specific attributes and include them in specific workflows, improving the way LegitScript communicates back information about a merchant.
Merchant Monitoring Tag-related actions you can take include:
- Creating Tags (tags get stored in a list)
- Deleting Tags
- Adding Tags to a merchant (up to 15/merchant)
- Removing Tags from a merchant
- Retrieving merchants that have been tagged by Legitscript in a certain timeframe (LS Tags)
Examples of how you can use Merchant Monitoring Tags:
- Group merchants together that you may have identified as part of a trend or that share some special attribute about which LegitScript should be aware.
- Create a data structure for tracking the reason for your actions on merchants. For example, termination based on an internal decision, or termination based on LegitScript analysis.
- Track features that your merchants may be utilizing that could inform an actioning matrix or prioritization for your systems.
- Flag a merchant that has completed a transaction in the past “X” number of days, helping to inform the prioritization of review and action matrices.
Currently, Tags and LS Tags are only available for use through Version 4 of the Merchant Monitoring API. This latest version of the API also removes the need to tie comments to actions, giving you more flexibility to add comments to a merchant without requiring an action.
The latest Merchant Monitoring API documentation, which can be accessed here, contains all of the information you need to upgrade. A few benefits for using the LegitScript’s API:
- Speed: APIs allow fast data exchange between systems for easy access to LegitScript monitoring results.
- Security: As a company that is current with SOC 2 Type II Compliance, as well as ISO 27001 certification, we take the security of your data seriously.
- Automation: Have the ability to automate workflows and tasks to improve your team’s productivity and efficiency.
