As an analyst on LegitScript’s certification team, Aubrey specializes in reviewing applications for drug and alcohol addiction treatment certification. On a daily basis, she closely analyzes applicant websites and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws as well as LegitScript standards. Aubrey also communicates with clients to help them bring their websites into compliance, and provides training support to new team members.
In the following Q&A, Aubrey talks about working at LegitScript and why the experience has been so meaningful to her.
How did you hear about LegitScript?
I found LegitScript while searching for jobs on LinkedIn, and it caught my attention because of its passionate mission of making the internet a more transparent and safe place for consumers, as well as for what seemed like an amazing company culture.
What was your work experience before LegitScript?
Previously I had worked in the green building industry as a LEED/Sustainability Certification Intern for three years. Although the specifics of my work were much different, the skill set I developed has been valuable in my work here. LegitScript’s unique and detailed training was wonderful at preparing me for the work I do now.
What do you like about working in certification?
I love that my job is a puzzle piece to a bigger goal of creating a safer space for vulnerable populations. LegitScript aims to get to the source and remove bad actors from the drug and alcohol addiction treatment sector, and our customers often appreciate the rigor of this process. I am continuously grateful that I get to be a part of this mission by working directly with certification customers to help them show their prospective patients that they offer a safe and compliant service.
What is most gratifying about your work?

I love that we are committed to delivering efficient and quality work, but also have the ability to laugh with each other and recognize the humanity in us all.

What skills would a job applicant need to be successful working at LegitScript?
The general skills that I believe are essential in the success of a job applicant at LegitScript are attention to detail, dedication, and the ability and motivation to hold oneself accountable to meeting individual goals without constant supervision. An applicant should have the ability to translate feedback into meaningful change, and be committed to LegitScript's mission and culture.
